अलास्का की खाड़ी Gulf of Alaska में मिलने बाले इन दो महासागरों का नाम है हिन्द महासागर और प्रशांत महासागर। इन दोनों महासागरों का पानी अलास्का की खाड़ी Gulf of Alaska में मिलता है। दोनों महासागरों के मिलने के बाबजूद भी इन महासागरों का पानी कभी आपस मे नहीं मिलता।
इस धरती के 73 फीसद हिस्से पर पानी की मौजूदगी है ऐसा तो आप सभी जानते होंगे। बैसे तो महासागरों की कोई सीमा नहीं होती। इन महासागरों में अभी भी कई ऐसे राज हैं जिनसे हम सभी अंजान हैं।
इन्हीं महासागरों का एक रहस्य जो कि आपको बताने जा रहे हैं। अलास्का की खाड़ी Gulf of Alaska में मिलने बाले दो ऐसे महासागर जो आपस मे मिलकर भी नहीं मिलते। आइये जानते हैं इसके बारे में।
आखिर क्यों नहीं आपस मे मिलता है इन महासागरों का पानी -
हिन्द और प्रशांत महासागर दोनों ही अलास्का की खाड़ी Gulf of Alaska में मिलते हैं लेकिन इनका पानी एक दूसरे से अलग होने के कारण कभी भी आपस में नहीं मिलता जैसा कि आप फ़ोटो में भी देख रहे हैं.
इन दोनों महासागरों का पानी हमेसा अलग रहता है। कुछ लोग इन्हें ईश्वर का चमत्कार समझते हैं। धार्मिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार यह कोई चमत्कार से कम नहीं है।
लेकिन हकीकत यह कि इनमे एक महासागर का पानी ठंडा तथा दूसरे महासागर का पानी गर्म होने की वजह से ये पानी कभी आपस मे नहीं मिलता क्योंकि इन दोनों ही महासागरों का तापमान और लवणता अलग अलग है यही वजह है कि दोनों महासागर आपस मे तो मिलते हैं लेकिन इनका पानी कभी भी आपस मे मिश्रित नहीं होता।
भारत मे भी होती है यह घटना -
अलास्का की खाड़ी Gulf of Alaska ही एकमात्र ऐसी जगह नहीं है जहाँ यह प्राकृतिक घटना होती हो। हमारे भारत मे भी इस तरह की घटनाएं दो जगह पर घटित होती हैं। पूजापाठ का केंद्र कहे जाने बाले प्रदेश उत्तराखंड Uttarakhand में भी इस तरह की प्राकृतिक घटना होती है।
उत्तराखंड Uttarakhandके देवप्रयाग Devprayag में मिलने वाली दो नही अलकनंदा Alaknanda और भागीरथी Bhagirathi का पानी भी जहां आपस मे मिलता है वहां भी इस तरह की लाइन दिल्ली जा सकती है। दोनों ही नदियों का पानी आपस मे मिलता हुआ दिखाई नहीं देता।
इसी तरह जब गंगा Ganga नदी बंगाल की खाड़ी Gulf of Bengal में मिलती है तो वहाँ भी समुद्र और नदी का पानी आपस मे मिलता हुआ दिखाई नहीं देता।

Two lines of Alkhananda and Bhagirathi, which are found in Devprayag in Uttarakhand, can also go to Delhi where such water can also be found. The water of both rivers does not appear to be mixed with each other.
Similarly, when the river Ganges joins the Bay of Bengal, there is no visible mixing of sea and river water there.
